Meaning & Translation
Verse 0
Victory to Ganesh, son of Girija, the auspicious and wise one.Ayodhyadas says, O Lord, grant the boon of fearlessness.
Verse 1
Hail to the Lord of Girija (Parvati), merciful to the poor. You always protect the saints.
Verse 2
The crescent moon adorns your forehead beautifully. In your ears are earrings made of serpent hoods.
Verse 3
Your body is fair, Ganga flows from your head. A garland of skulls adorns you, and ash is smeared on your body.
Verse 4
Tiger skin clothes adorn your body. The yellow Ganga flows, beautifying the human skulls.
Verse 5
At the time of dissolution, your body is naked. Forsaking shame, you roam unclothed, O fearsome one.
Verse 6
What can I do? Everyone serves Shiva. Whenever you serve Shiva, He grants them the fruit.
Verse 7
Various ghosts, spirits, and people gather. They fearlessly play the drum to the sound of Vedic chants.
Verse 8
You, Shankar, are the King of birds at the time of dissolution. Mahadev, you are the creator of the gods.
Verse 9
O daughter of the ocean, what shall I say? You alone take devotees across (the ocean of existence).

All desires and troubles enchant me. All bow down when they see your servant (devotee).

Lord Shankar creates the design of dissolution. He removes all sorrows and grants happiness.

O Lord, you reside in Kashi. You display your divine play for your devotees.

You are adorned with eight arms, O beautiful one. Your sight enthralls, removing the pain of many births.

Generous people have beheld your sight. At the end of time, they receive all happiness.

Among the gods, O Lord, you are the crown jewel. You are the great King who grants boons.

Bearer of the trident, you hold the trident. Day after day, the bearer of the trident is worshipped.

In the lotus heart of the ocean's daughter (Lakshmi). Lord Shankar, you reside there at all times.

Remover of sorrow, bestower of joy, nurturer. You are the support of your devotees.
Verse 19
Those who offer incense, lamp, and food to you, O Shankar, attain their heart's desires.

Those who daily meditate on Bholenath. They go to the immortal abode with the Lord.

You are the basis of worship. Beloved worship lasts till eternity.

You are the saviour, you are the giver. O Lord, you are the mother who takes us across.

Any ghost or spirit nearby. Flees afar simply by uttering your name.

You alone support the gods and goddesses. You constantly look after the welfare of people.
