Salutations to Shri Ganesha. O Lotus-born, whose eyes are like lotus petals, victory to You, beloved of Shri Hari! Victory to You, Mother Mahalakshmi, who helps us cross the ocean of worldly existence.

O Mahalakshmi, salutations to You, salutations to You, O Queen of Devas! O Beloved of Hari, salutations to You, salutations to You, O Treasure of Compassion!

O Dweller in the Lotus, salutations to You, salutations to You always! For the welfare of all beings, always shower us with a rain of wealth.

O Lakshmi, those adorned by You are freed from sins, respected by kings and people. Even those devoid of good qualities become virtuous, and the ill-behaved become the best among the well-behaved.
Verse 15
Lakshmi adorns beauty, Lakshmi adorns lineage. Lakshmi adorns knowledge; Lakshmi is superior to all.
Verse 16
O Lakshmi, by praising Your qualities, even Brahma becomes hesitant. Rudra and others, the sun, moon, and lords of gods, are unable to describe them. How can we describe Your form, characteristics, and qualities? O Mother, O Mother of the Universe, protect me and fulfill my desires certainly.

I am afflicted by poverty, suffering from worldly miseries, and devoid of wealth, having come to Your side. O Lakshmi, being a treasure of compassion, quickly make me a lord of wealth by granting me riches.

O Mother, Beloved of Hari, behold me, a poor person who has come near You. O Lakshmi, quickly grant me with Your hand wonderful clothes, gold, and excellent food.

Hearing these words of Agastya, the Beloved of Hari, delighted, spoke sweet words: "I am always pleased with you."

Lakshmi said: "The person who recites this Stotram spoken by you, or who listens to it, O great-armed one, I shall be subservient to him."

Whoever recites this daily with devotion, his misfortune (Alakshmi) is destroyed. Debts are quickly vanquished, and he never experiences separation.

Whoever recites this daily in the morning with faith and devotion, in his house, I shall always reside eternally with Shri Hari.

He becomes endowed with happiness and good fortune, intelligent and wise. He becomes a father of sons, virtuous, excellent, and enjoys worldly pleasures.

This highly meritorious Stotram, praised by Lakshmi and Agastya, generates the grace of Vishnu and bestows the fruits of the four pursuits of life (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha).

Victory at the royal court and defeat of enemies are achieved. There is no fear from ghosts, spirits, goblins, or tigers.
Verse 31
No fear arises for him from weapons, fire, or war. It is supremely destructive for the wicked and sinful.

Reciting this with concentration in stables for horses, elephants, or cowsheds, for the appeasement of their faults, destroys great sins.
