Verse 1
Bowing down to the God Vinayaka, the son of Gauri, the dwelling place of devotees, one should remember Him daily for the attainment of long life, desires, and wealth.
Verse 2
First, Vakratunda (the curved trunk one), second, Ekadanta (the single-tusked one), third, Krishnapingaksha (the dark-eyed one), and fourth, Gajavakra (the elephant-faced one).
Verse 3
Fifth, Lambodara (the pot-bellied one), sixth, Vikata (the formidable one), seventh, Vighnarajendra (the king of obstacles), and eighth, Dhoomravarna (the smoke-colored one).
Verse 4
Ninth, Bhalachandra (one with the moon on the forehead), tenth, Vinayaka, eleventh, Ganapati, and twelfth, Gajanana (the elephant-faced one).
Verse 5
The person who recites these twelve names three times a day (morning, noon, evening) will have no fear of obstacles, and all his endeavors will be accomplished, O Lord.

Students attain knowledge, wealth-seekers attain wealth, those desiring sons attain sons, and those seeking liberation attain salvation.
Verse 7
One who chants this Ganapati Stotram (Kavacham) will attain results within six months. Within a year, he will achieve perfection (siddhi); there is no doubt about this.
