Meaning & Translation
Verse 1
Om, Salutations to Lord Vasudeva.
Verse 2
Shukadeva Goswami said: O King Parikshit, after hearing about the various ways of creation, the King inquired from the learned sages.
Verse 3
He said to them, 'O revered ones, what is the proper refuge for one who is in distress and facing danger?'
Verse 4
I shall now recite the Narayana Kavacham, by which Vishnu Himself.
Verse 5
Even in a great battle, being questioned by hordes of demons.
Verse 6
Just as the pleased Lord protects His devotees by remembering His own form.
Verse 7
Whoever applies this Kavacham, being knowledgeable in Vishnu mantras.
Verse 8
All his evils are destroyed, and he has no fear anywhere.
Verse 9
May Lord Nrisimha protect my head, the omnipresent Lord, out of compassion for the worlds.
Verse 10
May Bhrugu (Parashurama) always protect my face, which is terrible with teeth.

May my hands be protected by the mace-wielding Lord, who removes all enemies.

May the wielder of the discus protect my heart, the beloved of Lakshmi, always.

May Vamana protect my abdomen, and the husband of Lakshmi protect my navel.

May Gajendra (the one who saved Gajendra) protect my private parts, and Madhusudana protect my secret parts.

May the trustworthy one protect my thighs, and the Lord of cows protect my shanks.
