Verse 1
O Rakshasutra, by which the mighty King Bali, the lord of demons, was bound by dharma, by that very dharma I bind you. O Rakshasutra, remain steadfast in that dharma, remain steadfast.

I tie you with the same (thread) by which the powerful demon king Bali was bound. O Raksha (Rakhi), do not waver, do not waver (remain steadfast).
