I bow to that Vinayaka, who joyfully holds a Modaka in His hand, who is always the giver of liberation, who adorns the crescent moon on His head, who charmingly protects the worlds, who is the sole leader without a superior, who destroyed the elephant demon (Gajasura), and who swiftly destroys the misfortunes of those who bow to Him.

I constantly take refuge in that supreme Lord, who is terrifying to enemies who do not bow, who shines like the newly risen sun, whom even the gods and demons bow to, who removes great dangers from His devotees, who is the Lord of gods, the Lord of treasures, the Lord of elephants, the Lord of ganas, and the Great Lord.

I bow to that radiant Lord, who bestows mercy, forgiveness, joy, and fame, who grants mental peace to those who bow to Him. I always seek refuge in Him who is foremost, the origin of existence, supreme among all, the beloved of Lakshmi (wealth), the beloved of Shiva (destruction of evil), the beloved of the earth, and the best among beings.
