शुक्लाम्बरधरं विष्णुं शशिवर्णं चतुर्भुजम्। प्रसन्नवदनं ध्यायेत् सर्वविघ्नोपशान्तये॥

यस्य स्मरणमात्रेण जन्मसंसारबन्धनात्। विमुच्यते नमस्तस्मै विष्णवे प्रभविष्णवे॥

नमोस्त्वनन्ताय सहस्रमूर्तये सहस्रपादाक्षिशिरोरुबाहवे। सहस्रनाम्ने पुरुषाय शाश्वते सहस्रकोटियुगधारिणे नमः॥

क्षीरोदन्वत्प्रदेशे शुचिमणिविलसत्सैकतेर्मौक्तिकानां मालाक्लुप्तासनस्थः स्फटिकमणिनिभैर्मौक्तिकैर्मण्डिताङ्गः। शुभ्रैरभ्रैरदभ्रैरुपरिविरचितैर्मुक्तपीयूषवर्षैः आनन्दी नः पुनीयादरिनलिनगदा शङ्खपाणिर्मुकुन्दः॥

विश्वरूपं हरिं वन्दे सदा ध्यानपरायणः। यस्य नामसहस्रेण पापानि विनिवर्तयन्॥

विश्वात्मने नमस्तुभ्यं विश्वेशाय महात्मने। विश्वबीजाय देवाय विश्वरूपाय ते नमः॥

विश्वरूपं विरजानां भूतभव्यभवत्प्रभुम्। भूतकृद् भूतभृद् भावो भूतात्मा भूतभावनः॥

य इदं शृणुयान्नित्यं यश्चापि परिकीर्तयेत्। नाशुभं प्राप्नुयात्किञ्चित् सोऽमुत्रेह च मानवः॥

वेदवेद्ये परे पुंसि यतो जगदिदं बभौ। ततस्तं परमानन्दं पुरुषं प्रणिमाम्यहम्॥

इतीदं कीर्तनीयस्य केशवस्य महात्मनः। नाम्नां सहस्रं दिव्यानां अशेषेण प्रकीर्तितम्॥

सर्वमङ्गलमाङ्गल्यं सर्वपापप्रणाशनम्। प्रणतार्तिहरं विष्णुं प्रणमामि सदा हरिम्॥

Meaning & Translation

Verse 1
I meditate on Lord Vishnu, who is clad in white, who is all-pervading, whose color is like that of the moon, who has four arms, and whose face is ever-pleasant, for the removal of all obstacles.
Verse 2
Salutations to that all-powerful Vishnu, by merely remembering whom one is released from the bondage of birth and worldly existence.
Verse 3
Salutations to the Infinite One, who has a thousand forms, a thousand feet, eyes, heads, thighs, and arms. Salutations to that Eternal Being with a thousand names, who sustains thousands of crores of yugas (epochs).

Om, salutations to Lord Vasudeva.

May Mukunda purify us, who is seated on a throne made of strings of pearls on the radiant jewel-sands of the milky ocean shore, whose body is adorned with pearls resembling crystal gems, and above whom white, vast clouds shower drops of nectar; He who holds a discus, conch, mace, and lotus, and is full of bliss.

I always bow to Lord Hari, the Universal Form, ever absorbed in meditation. By whose thousand names, sins are completely dispelled.

Salutations to You, the Soul of the Universe, the Lord of the Universe, the Great Soul. Salutations to You, the God who is the seed of the Universe, the Universal Form.
Verse 8
The Universe, The All-Pervader, The Performer of Sacrifices. The Lord of past, present, and future. The Creator of beings, The Sustainer of beings, The Existent, The Soul of beings, The Nourisher of beings.
Verse 9
That person who hears this daily, and also chants it, will never encounter anything inauspicious, neither in this world nor in the next.
Verse 10
I bow down to that Supreme Being, who is known through the Vedas, from whom this universe has manifested, that Supreme Blissful Purusha.

Thus, this divine thousand names of the adorable and magnanimous Kesava have been entirely recited.

I always bow to Hari, Lord Vishnu, who is the auspiciousness of all auspicious things, the destroyer of all sins, and the remover of the suffering of those who surrender.
