Arjuna said: Salutations to you, O commander of the Siddhas, O noble one, dweller of Mandara mountain! O Virgin, O Kali, O Kapali, O Kapila, O Krishna-Pingala!
Verse 2
Salutations to you, O Bhadrakali! Salutations to you, O Mahakali! Salutations to you, O Chandi, O Chande! O Tarini, O Varavarnini!
Verse 3
O Katyayani, O Mahadevi, O Karali, O Vijaya, O Jaya! You who bear the peacock-feathered banner, adorned with various ornaments!
Verse 4
You who strike with a trident, who hold a sword and shield! O Gograha, O Gomahamegha, Salutations to you, O Narayani!
Verse 5
You who are adorned with matted locks, with ornaments on your forehead! You who are greatly worshipped by Vedas and Shrutis, O Brahmani, O Brahmavadini!
Verse 6
You who reside in the lotus, who hold the excellent trident! You who always hold the bell and trident, O destroyer of Chanda and Munda!

You who are associated with the bull banner, O Kaumari, O Shankhini, O Shiva! O Chakrini, O Vaishnavi, and O Varahi, salutations to you!
