रोगानशेषानपहंसि तुष्टा रुष्टा तु कामान् सकलानभीष्टान्। त्वामाश्रितानां न विपन्नराणां त्वामाश्रिता ह्याश्रयतां प्रयान्ति॥६॥

सर्वबाधाप्रशमनं त्रैलोक्यस्याखिलेश्वरि। एवमेव त्वया कार्यमस्मद्वैरिविनाशनम्॥७॥

या श्रीः स्वयं सुकृतिनां भवनेष्वलक्ष्मीः पापात्मनां कृतधियां हृदयेषु बुद्धिः। श्रद्धा सतां कुलजनप्रभवस्य लज्जा त्वां तां नताः स्म परिपालय देवि विश्वम्॥८॥

देहि सौभाग्यमारोग्यं देहि मे परमं सुखम्। रूपं देहि जयं देहि यशो देहि द्विषो जहि॥९॥

विन्ध्यस्थितानां देवि त्वं विन्ध्यवासिनि। चण्डिके चण्डमुण्डानां हन्त्री त्वं देवि नमोऽस्तु ते॥१०॥

Meaning & Translation

Verse 1
O Durga, when remembered, you remove all fear from every creature. When remembered by those who are healthy, you grant extremely auspicious intellect. O remover of poverty, sorrow, and fear, who else but you has a heart always compassionate for doing good to all?
Verse 2
O auspicious among all auspicious, O Shivaa, who accomplishes all purposes. O refuge of all, O three-eyed one, O Gauri, O Narayani, salutations to you.
Verse 3
O eternal one, who is the power behind creation, preservation, and destruction. O abode of qualities, full of qualities, O Narayani, salutations to you.
Verse 4
O one devoted to protecting the distressed and suffering who seek refuge. O Devi, remover of all pain, O Narayani, salutations to you.
Verse 5
O one who is the form of all, O ruler of all, endowed with all powers. Protect us from all fears, O Devi, O Durga Devi, salutations to you.

When pleased, you destroy all diseases. When displeased, you destroy all desired wishes. Those who take refuge in you do not face calamities; indeed, those who take refuge in you become a refuge for others.

O sovereign of the three worlds, who pacifies all obstacles. In the same way, you should destroy our enemies.

You are Lakshmi herself in the homes of the virtuous, and ill-fortune in the homes of the wicked. You are intellect in the hearts of the wise, faith in the good, and modesty in those of noble birth. To you, O Devi, we bow; protect the universe.
