प्रथमं वक्रतुण्डं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम्। तृतीयं कृष्णपिङ्गाक्षं गजवक्त्रं चतुर्थकम्॥ २॥

लम्बोदरं पञ्चमं च षष्ठं विकटमेव च। सप्तमं विघ्नराजं च धूम्रवर्णं तथाष्टमम्॥ ३॥

नवमं भालचन्द्रं च दशमं तु विनायकम्। एकादशं गणपतिं च द्वादशं तु गजाननम्॥ ४॥

द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसंध्यं यः पठेन्नरः। न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिकरं परम्॥ ५॥

विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम्। पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान्मोक्षार्थी लभते गतिम्॥ ६॥

जपेद्गणपतिस्तोत्रं षड्भिर्मासैः फलं लभेत्। संवत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशयः॥ ७॥

अष्टभ्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च लिखित्वा यः समर्पयेत्। तस्य विद्या भवेत्सर्वा गणेशस्य प्रसादतः॥ ८॥

इति श्री नारद पुराणे संकटनाशन गणेश स्तोत्रं समाप्तम् ॥

Meaning & Translation

Verse 1
Bowing my head to Lord Ganesha, the son of Gauri (Parvati), the remover of obstacles, who dwells in the hearts of his devotees, I remember Him daily for longevity, desires, and the attainment of wealth.
Verse 2
First, (I remember Him as) Vakratunda (the one with a twisted trunk), second, Ekadanta (the one with one tusk), third, Krishnapingaksha (the one with dark and tawny eyes), and fourth, Gajavaktram (the one with an elephant face).
Verse 3
Fifth, Lambodaram (the one with a large belly), and sixth, Vikata (the formidable one), seventh, Vighnaraja (the king of obstacles, i.e., remover of obstacles), and eighth, Dhumravarna (the smoke-colored one).
Verse 4
Ninth, Bhalachandra (the one with the moon on His forehead), and tenth, Vinayaka (the supreme leader), eleventh, Ganapati (the lord of Ganas), and twelfth, Gajanana (the elephant-faced one).
Verse 5
The person who recites these twelve names three times a day (morning, noon, and evening) will never face the fear of obstacles, and all their desires will be perfectly fulfilled.
Verse 6
A student attains knowledge, a seeker of wealth attains riches, a seeker of children attains progeny, and a seeker of liberation attains salvation.
Verse 7
One who chants this Ganapati Stotram will obtain results in six months. In one year, they will achieve perfection; there is no doubt about this.
Verse 8
One who writes this Stotram and offers it to eight Brahmins will attain all knowledge through the grace of Lord Ganesha.
