Meaning & Translation

Verse 1
I meditate on Vishnu, who is clad in white, who is all-pervading, whose complexion is like the moon, who has four arms, and whose face is serene; for the removal of all obstacles.
Verse 2
I bow to Vishnu, who is of peaceful form, who reclines on the serpent Adisesha, from whose navel springs the lotus, the Lord of the Devas, the support of the universe, who is like the sky, of cloud-like complexion, with auspicious limbs. He is the consort of Lakshmi, with lotus-like eyes, approachable by Yogis through meditation, who removes the fear of worldly existence, and is the sole Lord of all worlds.
Verse 3
I bow to Vishnu, whose complexion is like a dark cloud, who wears yellow silken garments, who bears the mark of Srivatsa and whose body shines with the Kaustubha gem. He is endowed with sacred merit, possesses lotus-like broad eyes, and is the sole Lord of all worlds.
Verse 4
Salutations to that all-pervading, powerful Vishnu, by merely remembering whom one is freed from the bondage of birth and worldly existence.
