Meaning & Translation

Verse 1
I bow to Vishnu, who is of the serene form, who reclines on the serpent Adisesha, whose navel is the lotus (from which Brahma emerged), who is the Lord of the Devas, the support of the universe, who is all-pervading like the sky, whose color is like that of clouds, whose limbs are auspicious. He is the consort of Lakshmi, whose eyes are like lotuses, who is realized by yogis through meditation, who removes the fear of worldly existence, and is the sole Lord of all worlds.
Verse 2
I bow to Vishnu, who is dark like a cloud, who wears yellow silken garments, whose chest is adorned with the Srivatsa mark, whose body shines with the Kaustubha gem. He is endowed with merit, whose eyes are wide like a lotus, and who is the sole Lord of all worlds.
Verse 3
I bow my head to Vishnu, who holds the conch and discus, who wears a crown and earrings, who is clad in yellow garments, whose eyes are like lotuses. Whose chest is adorned with garlands and the radiant Kaustubha gem, and who possesses four arms.
