श्री गणेश व्रत कथा प्रारंभ: एका गावात एक गरीब ब्राह्मण स्त्री राहत होती. ती खूप धार्मिक होती आणि दररोज गणपती बाप्पाची पूजा करत असे, पण तिच्या घरात नेहमीच गरिबी होती. तिला एक दिवस एका गणेश भक्ताने गणपती व्रत करण्याची माहिती दिली.

ब्राह्मण स्त्रीने दुसऱ्या दिवशी सकाळी लवकर उठून स्नान केले. तिने स्वच्छ वस्त्र परिधान केले आणि गणपती बाप्पाची मातीची मूर्ती तयार केली. तिने उपलब्ध असलेल्या साहित्यानेच मनोभावे गणपतीची पूजा केली, दुर्वा, फुले आणि मोदक अर्पण केले.

तिच्या मनातील अढळ श्रद्धेने आणि प्रामाणिक भक्तीने गणपती बाप्पा खूप प्रसन्न झाले. रात्री तिला स्वप्नात गणपती बाप्पा दिसले आणि म्हणाले, 'हे कन्ये, तुझ्या निस्वार्थ भक्तीने मी प्रसन्न झालो आहे. तू जे मागशील ते तुला मिळेल.'

ब्राह्मण स्त्रीने गणपती बाप्पाला तिच्या घरातील दारिद्र्य दूर करण्याची विनंती केली. गणपती बाप्पाने 'तथास्तु' म्हटले आणि अदृश्य झाले. सकाळी उठल्यावर तिने पाहिले की तिचे घर धनधान्याने भरलेले होते. तिची गरिबी पूर्णपणे नाहीशी झाली होती.

Beginning of Shri Ganesh Vrat Katha: In a village, there lived a poor Brahmin woman. She was very religious and worshipped Lord Ganesha daily, but her household always suffered from poverty. One day, a devotee of Ganesha informed her about the Ganesh Vrat (fast).

That devotee told her, 'Whoever observes the Ganesh Vrat with complete faith and devotion, Lord Ganesha becomes pleased with them and fulfills all their desires.' Hearing this, she decided to observe the Ganesh Vrat.

The next day, the Brahmin woman woke up early and bathed. She wore clean clothes and made a clay idol of Lord Ganesha. With whatever materials were available, she devotedly worshipped Ganesha, offering durva grass, flowers, and modak.

Lord Ganesha was greatly pleased by her unwavering faith and sincere devotion. At night, Lord Ganesha appeared in her dream and said, 'O daughter, I am pleased with your selfless devotion. Whatever you ask for, you shall receive.'

The Brahmin woman requested Lord Ganesha to remove the poverty from her home. Lord Ganesha said 'So be it' and disappeared. When she woke up in the morning, she saw that her house was filled with wealth and grains. Her poverty had completely vanished.

She thanked Lord Ganesha and continued worshipping him throughout her life. She also narrated this story to others, which inspired many people to start observing the Ganesh Vrat, and they too received happiness and prosperity through Lord Ganesha's grace.
