Meaning & Translation

Verse 1
I bow to Lord Vinayaka, who joyfully holds a Modaka in his hand, who is always the means to liberation, who wears the moon as an ornament on his head, who protects the universe playfully. He is the unique leader for those without a leader, who destroyed the elephant demon (Gajasura), and who swiftly removes the inauspiciousness of those who bow to him.
Verse 2
I constantly take refuge in that supreme Lord who inspires fear in the non-devotees, who shines like the newly risen sun, who is worshipped by the gods and sages who are enemies of demons, who rescues devotees from great calamities. He is the Lord of gods, the Lord of treasures, the Lord of elephants (Gajasura's destroyer), the Lord of Ganas (celestial hosts), the Great Lord, who is beyond the highest.
Verse 3
I bow to that resplendent Lord who brings welfare to all worlds, who destroyed the elephant demon, who has a large and beautiful belly, who has a noble elephant face, who is imperishable. He is the giver of grace, the giver of forgiveness, the giver of joy, the giver of fame, and the inspirer of devotion for those who bow to him.
Verse 4
I worship that ancient elephant-faced Lord who cleanses the sorrows of the destitute, who is the subject of ancient scriptures, who is the elder son of Shiva (Purari), who crushes the pride of the enemies of gods. He is formidable in destroying worldly illusions, adorned by Dhananjaya (Arjuna) and others, whose temples exude ichor (dāna).
Verse 5
I constantly meditate on that Lord Ekadanta (one-tusked), whose beautiful tusk shines intensely, who is the son of Shiva (destroyer of Yama/death), whose form is inconceivable and endless, who cuts down all obstacles. He resides eternally in the hearts of yogis.

Spiritual Benefits

Chanting the Ganesha Aarti, specifically the Ganesha Pancharatnam Stotram, offers profound spiritual and material benefits. It is a powerful practice for invoking Lord Ganesha, the Vighnaharta (remover of obstacles) and Buddhi Pradaata (giver of intellect). Regular recitation purifies the mind, enhances focus, and instills a sense of peace. Devotees experience the removal of hindrances in their path, leading to success in education, business, and personal endeavors. It grants wisdom, prosperity, and spiritual growth, making any new beginning auspicious and fruitful. The hymns also foster humility and devotion, strengthening one's connection with the divine.
