Meaning & Translation
Verse 1
Perform the Aarti of dear Hanuman, the destroyer of evil, an embodiment of Raghunath's (Lord Rama's) divine power.
Verse 2
By whose strength, mountains tremble, and no disease or fault dares to approach him.
Verse 3
Son of Anjani, the greatly powerful one, he is always the helper of saints and devotees.
Verse 4
When Raghunath (Rama) sent him with a mission, he burnt Lanka and brought news of Sita.
Verse 5
Lanka, which was a fort surrounded by the ocean's trench, the son of Vayu (Hanuman) crossed it in no time.
Verse 6
He burnt Lanka, destroyed demons, and accomplished the tasks of Sita and Rama.
Verse 7
When Lakshman fell unconscious, he brought the Sanjeevani herb and saved his life.
Verse 8
He entered the netherworld, broke the gates of Yama, and uprooted the arms of Ahiravan.
Verse 9
With his left arm, he destroyed the demon army, and with his right arm, he protected the saints.
Verse 10
Gods, humans, and sages perform his Aarti, chanting 'Hail, Hail, Hail Hanuman!'
Verse 11
With a golden plate and camphor wick, Mother Anjani performs his Aarti.
Verse 12
Whoever sings this Aarti of Hanuman, resides in Vaikunth and attains the highest abode.
