સનકાદિક બ્રહ્માદિ મુનીશા। નારદ શારદ સહિત અહીશા॥

યમ કુબેર દિગપાલ જહાં તે। કવિ કોવિદ કહિ સકે કહાં તે॥

તુમ ઉપકાર સુગ્રીવહિં કીન્હા। રામ મિલાય રાજ પદ દીન્હા॥

તુમ્હરો મંત્ર વિભીષણ માના। લંકેશ્વર ભયે સબ જગ જાના॥

યુગ સહસ્ર જોજન પર ભાનૂ। લીલ્યો તાહિ મધુર ફલ જાનૂ॥

પ્રભુ મુદ્રિકા મેલી મુખ માહીં। જલધિ લાંઘિ ગયે અચરજ નાહીં॥

દુર્ગમ કાજ જગત કે જેતે। સુગમ અનુગ્રહ તુમ્હરે તેતે॥

રામ દુઆરે તુમ રખવારે। હોત ન આજ્ઞા બિનુ પૈસારે॥

સબ સુખ લહૈ તુમ્હારી શરણા। તુમ રક્ષક કહૂ કો ડર ના॥

આપન તેજ સંભારો આપૈ। તીનો લોક હાંક તે કાંપૈ॥

ભૂત પિશાચ નિકટ નહિં આવે। મહાવીર જબ નામ સુનાવે॥

નાસૈ રોગ હરૈ સબ પીરા। જપત નિરંતર હનુમત વીરા॥

Meaning & Translation
Verse 1
With the dust of the lotus feet of Sri Guru, I cleanse the mirror of my mind. I describe the pure glory of Lord Rama, which bestows the four fruits of life (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha).
Verse 2
Knowing myself to be devoid of intelligence, I remember you, O Son of the Wind (Hanuman). Grant me strength, wisdom, and knowledge, and remove all my afflictions and impurities.
Verse 3
Hail Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtues. Hail Vanara chief, enlightener of the three worlds.
Verse 4
You are Rama's messenger, possessing incomparable strength. Son of Anjani, known as the Son of the Wind.
Verse 5
You are a great hero, a mighty warrior with a body like Vajra (diamond). You dispel evil thoughts and are a companion of good sense.
Verse 6
Your golden complexion shines with excellent attire. You wear earrings in your ears and have curly hair.
Verse 7
In your hands shine the mace (Vajra) and banner. On your shoulder, a sacred thread (Janeu) is adorned.
Verse 8
You are an incarnation of Shiva, the son of Kesari. Your valorous might is worshipped by the entire world.
Verse 9
You are learned, virtuous, and extremely clever. You are always eager to perform Lord Rama's tasks.
Verse 10
You are fond of listening to the glorious tales of the Lord. Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita reside in your heart.
Verse 11
Assuming a tiny form, you appeared before Sita. Taking a formidable form, you incinerated Lanka.
Verse 12
Assuming a colossal form, you destroyed the demons. Thus, you accomplished Lord Rama's mission.
Verse 13
You brought the Sanjeevani herb and revived Lakshmana. Lord Rama embraced you joyfully.
Verse 14
Lord Rama praised you highly. 'You are as dear to me as my brother Bharat,' he said.
Verse 15
Even the thousand-headed Sheshnag sings your glory. Saying this, Lord Rama embraced you.
Verse 16
The sages like Sanaka, Brahma, Narada, Saraswati, and Sheshnag (king of serpents).
Verse 17
Even Yama, Kubera, and the guardians of directions, or poets and scholars, cannot fully describe your glory.
Verse 18
You rendered a great service to Sugriva. You united him with Rama and helped him regain his kingdom.
Verse 19
Vibhishana heeded your advice. He became the king of Lanka, as the whole world knows.
Verse 20
You swallowed the sun, which is thousands of Yojanas away, mistaking it for a sweet fruit.
Verse 21
With Lord Rama's ring in your mouth, you leaped across the ocean; there is no wonder in that.
Verse 22
All difficult tasks in the world become easy with your grace.
Verse 23
You are the guardian at Rama's door. No one can enter without your permission.
Verse 24
All happiness is found in your refuge. When you are the protector, there is nothing to fear.
Verse 25
You alone can control your immense power. All three worlds tremble at your roar.
Verse 26
Ghosts and evil spirits do not come near, O Mahaveer, when your name is invoked.
Verse 27
All diseases vanish and all pain disappears, by constantly chanting the name of brave Hanuman.
Verse 28
Hanuman liberates from distress, those who meditate upon him with mind, deed, and word.
Verse 29
Lord Rama is the ascetic King over all. You accomplished all his tasks.
Verse 30
And whoever brings any desire to you, that person attains the boundless fruit of life.
Verse 31
Your glory extends through all four ages. Your fame illuminates the entire world.
Verse 32
You are the protector of saints and sages. You destroy demons, O beloved of Rama.
Verse 33
You are the bestower of eight Siddhis (supernatural powers) and nine Nidhis (treasures). Mother Janaki (Sita) granted you this boon.
Verse 34
The essence of devotion to Rama (Rama Rasayana) is with you. You are eternally the servant of Lord Rama.
Verse 35
By chanting your name, one attains Lord Rama. And forgets the sorrows of many lifetimes.
Verse 36
At the time of death, one goes to Lord Rama's abode. And is known as a devotee of Hari in every birth.
Verse 37
One need not contemplate any other deity. By serving Hanuman, all happiness is attained.
Verse 38
All troubles are cut short, and all pain is removed, for those who remember the mighty Hanuman.
Verse 39
Hail, hail, hail to Lord Hanuman! Bestow your grace upon me, just like a Guru.
Verse 40
Whoever recites this a hundred times, is freed from bondage and attains great joy.
Verse 41
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa, attains spiritual perfection, with Lord Shiva as witness.
Verse 42
Tulsidas is always a devotee of Hari. O Lord, make my heart your abode.
Verse 43
O Son of the Wind, dispeller of troubles, embodiment of auspiciousness. Reside in my heart, along with Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita, O King of Gods.
