Meaning & Translation
Verse 1
O victorious Lord Hanuman, Swami, O victorious Lord Hanuman! Remover of sorrows, bestower of happiness, O compassionate one, dear to Sri Rama!
Verse 2
In your childhood, you swallowed the sun, and made the world tremble. When all the gods pleaded, you released the sun again.
Verse 3
You slew Lankini, burnt Lanka, and found Mother Sita. As a devoted servant of Rama, you attained immense fame.
Verse 4
When Lakshmana fainted, you brought the Sanjeevini herb, and saved his life. In the selfless service of Rama and Lakshmana, you found great joy.
Verse 5
You made Sugreeva king, and forged a strong friendship with Rama. Fulfilling the desires of devotees, you spread your glory far and wide.
Verse 6
Punisher of the wicked, protector of the virtuous, establisher of righteousness! By remembering your sacred name, all our sins are destroyed.
Verse 7
O Five-faced Anjaneya, your power is boundless! For the devotees, you are the garland that destroys all dangers!
Verse 8
