Meaning & Translation
Verse 1
Om, Victory to Shiva, the sound of Om! Lord Hara Shiva, the sound of Om! Brahma, Vishnu, and Sadashiva, you hold the divine feminine as half of your body. Om, Victory to Shiva, the sound of Om!
Verse 2
You shine with one face, four faces, and five faces. Adorned with a swan-seat, eagle-seat, and bull as your vehicle. Om, Victory to Shiva, the sound of Om!
Verse 3
With two arms, four arms, and ten arms, you appear. Form of the three Gunas, blemishless, enchanting the people of the three worlds. Om, Victory to Shiva, the sound of Om!
Verse 4
You wear a rosary, a garland of forest flowers, and a garland of skulls. You hold the trident and Pinaka bow, bringing auspiciousness. Om, Victory to Shiva, the sound of Om!
Verse 5
With white garments, yellow garments, and tiger skin on your body. You are accompanied by Sanaka and other sages, Brahma and other gods, and various spirits. Om, Victory to Shiva, the sound of Om!
Verse 6
In Kashi, you reside by the name of Vishwanatha. The flow of Ganga, thus the abode of Yamuna's waters. Om, Victory to Shiva, the sound of Om!
