|| Doha ||Victory to Ganesha, son of Girija, the auspicious and wise one.Ayodhyadas prays to you, grant the boon of fearlessness.
Verse 1
Victory to the Lord of Girija (Parvati), the compassionate one, who always protects the saints.
Verse 2
The moon shines on your forehead, and snakes are your earrings.
Verse 3
Your body is fair, Ganga flows from your head, you wear a garland of skulls and smear ash on your body.
Verse 4
Tiger skin adorns your body, seeing your form, gods and sages are enchanted.
Verse 5
Maina's daughter (Parvati) is beloved, her unique charm shines on your left side.
Verse 6
You hold a damaru (drum) and a trident in your hand, you ferry us across the ocean of existence.
Verse 7
Narada and Sharada bow their heads to you, all gods, humans, and sages worship you.
Verse 8
Seeing your splendor, the sun is filled with immense love, always revolving around you.
Verse 9
You are the beloved Lord, fulfilling all desires and hopes of your devotees.
Verse 10
Your fierce Tandava dance pleases everyone, your dancing captivates all minds.
Verse 11
You are the giver of life to the world, you are the bestower of liberation and wealth.
Verse 12
I bow to you, Gauri-Shankara, always reside within my inner self.

Goddesses and sages all call out to you, you remove the distress of your devotees.
Verse 14
Your name is Remover of Troubles, you are the bestower of the eight Siddhis and nine Nidhis.
Verse 15
No one is as wise as you, you are known for crushing the wicked.

When Ramachandra performed penance, he chanted 'Victory, victory, victory to Shiva,' destroying sorrow.
Verse 17
You hastened to destroy Lanka, Lord Mahadeva, you created Brahma.

Lord of Uma, you are the creator, you enchant the entire world with your presence.
Verse 19
Chanting your name constantly removes worldly fears, your name bestows peace, control, and silent repetition.

You protect the helpless, all beings are sustained by you.

You destroy the wicked, and you always uplift the righteous.

We are always at your feet, observing auspicious vows and devotion.

Blessed, blessed art thou, Bholenath, the source of comfort, you reside in the hearts of the weak.

Hoping for the path to liberation, we meditate on you, the remover of suffering.

Beloved of Gauri, father of Ganesha, you are always the protector for the welfare of the world.

Your glory at Shatrunjaya is boundless, who can know your infinite divine play?

You are the friend of the poor, remover of sorrow; now save the honor of your servant.

Everyone's faith rests in you, you are the destroyer of suffering and evil.

With Kartikeya Swami and Ganesha, you always share a part of your servant's devotion.

The person who recites this with love and devotion, Lord Shiva removes their troubles thirteen times.

Shiva, the remover of troubles and bestower of auspiciousness, there is no benefactor like you.

You erase sins and faults, and help us cross the ocean of worldly existence.

You destroy wicked people, and you always protect the righteous.

Whoever meditates with a focused mind, offering incense, lamps, and food offerings.
Verse 37
O Lord of Parvati, you are generous, the life-support of all beings.
Verse 38
You remove all sorrows of many births, you alleviate all troubles of devotees.
Verse 39
Whoever recites this Shiva Chalisa, enjoys all happiness and remains free from fear.
Verse 40
At the end of life, one goes to Shiva's abode. Thus says Ayodhyadas, singing Shiva's song.
