जय गिरिजा पति दीन दयाला। सदा करत सन्तन प्रतिपाला॥

भाल चन्द्रमा सोहत नीके। कानन कुण्डल नाग फनी के॥

अंग गौर शिर गंग बहाये। मुण्डमाल तन क्षार लगाये॥

वस्त्र खाल बाघम्बर सोहे। छवि को देखि नाग मन मोहे॥

मैना मातु की ह्वै दुलारी। बाम अंग सोहत शिव प्यारी॥

कर में त्रिशूल सोहत न्यारे। सदा करत शत्रुन क्षय कारे॥

नन्दी गणेश सोहै तहँ कैसे। सागर मध्य कमल हैं जैसे॥

कार्तिक श्याम और गणराऊ। या छवि को कहि जात न काऊ॥

देवन जब ही जाय पुकारा। तब ही दुःख प्रभु आप निवारा॥

किया उपद्रव तारक भारी। देवन सब मिलि तुमहिं जुहारी॥

तुरत षडानन आप पठायो। लव निमेष महँ मारि गिरायो॥

आप जलंधर असुर संहारा। सुयश तुम्हार विदित संसारा॥

त्रिपुरासुर सन युद्ध मचाई। सबहिं कृपा कर लीन बचाई॥

किया तपस्या भागीरथ भारी। पूर्व प्रतिज्ञा तासु पुरारी॥

दानिन महँ तुम सम कोउ नाहीं। सेवक स्तुति करत सदाहीं॥
16
वेद नाम महिमा तव गाई। अकथ अनादि भेद नहिं पाई॥

प्रगट्यो दधि मंथन ते ज्वाला। जरे सुरासुर भये विहाला॥

कीन्ह दया तहँ करी सहाई। नीलकण्ठ तब नाम कहाई॥

पूजन रामचन्द्र जब कीन्हा। जीत के लंका विभीषण दीन्हा॥

सहस कमल दल चढ़त प्रभावा। कीन्ह परीक्षा तबहिं शिवा॥

एक कमल प्रभु राखेउ जोई। कमल नयन पूजन चहँ सोई॥

कठिन भक्ति देखी प्रभु शंकर। भये प्रसन्न दिए इच्छित वर॥

जय जय जय अनंत अविनाशी। करत कृपा सब के घटवासी॥

दुष्ट सकल नित मोहि सतावें। भ्रमहिं रहत मोहि चैन न आवें॥

त्राहि त्राहि मैं नाथ पुकारो। यहि अवसर मोहि आन उबारो॥

ले त्रिशूल शत्रुन को मारो। संकट ते मोहि आन उबारो॥

मात पिता भ्राता सब कोई। संकट में पूछत नहिं कोई॥

स्वामी एक है आस तुम्हारी। आय हरहु अब संकट भारी॥

धन निर्धन को देत सदा हीं। जो कोई जाँचत पावत ताहीं॥

स्तुति को तुम सदा फल दई। सेवक जान सदा सुख लई॥

विधि दोऊ कर जोड़ स्तुति कीन्हीं। तब शिवशंकर वर फल दीन्हीं॥

जिन यह कथा सुनी अरु गाई। तेहि जननी शिवलोक सिधाई॥

योगी यति मुनि ध्यान लगावें। नारद शारद शीश नवावें॥

नमो नमो जय नमो शिवाय। सुर ब्रह्मादिक पार न पाय॥

जो यह पाठ करे मन लाई। ता पर होत कृपा लव नाई॥

रुद्राक्ष धारि कर पूजन जाई। तेहि पर कृपा करहिं शिवराई॥

भक्ति भाव से जो मन ध्यावै। दुःख दारिद्र निकट न आवै॥

प्रेम सहित पड़िहें जो कोई। सब सुख भोग परम पद होई॥
39
पुत्रहीन को पुत्र मिलत है। निर्धन को धन प्राप्त होत है॥
40
जो यह चालीसा निज घर गावै। शिव सुख भोगि परम पद पावै॥
41

Verse 0
॥ Couplet ॥O Shri Ganesh, son of Girija (Parvati), the root of all auspiciousness and wisdom.Ayodhyadas humbly prays to you, grant him the boon of fearlessness.
Verse 1
Victory to Girija's consort (Shiva), the compassionate to the meek.You always protect the saints and the virtuous.
Verse 2
The moon on your forehead looks beautiful.In your ears are earrings made of serpent hoods.
Verse 3
Your body is fair, and the Ganga flows from your head.You wear a garland of skulls and apply ash to your body.
Verse 4
You are adorned in a tiger skin.Seeing your form, even serpents are enchanted.
Verse 5
Parvati, dear daughter of Maina,Shiva's beloved, graces your left side.
Verse 6
The trident in your hand looks distinct and splendid.You always destroy your enemies.
Verse 7
Nandi and Ganesha stand there, looking as beautiful asLotuses blooming in the middle of an ocean.
Verse 8
Kartikeya, the dark-complexioned (Shyam), and Ganesha (Ganraau),No one can describe their splendid form.
Verse 9
Whenever the gods called upon you,O Lord, you instantly removed their sorrows.
Verse 10
When Taraka wrought great havoc,All the gods collectively prayed to you.
Verse 11
You immediately sent Kartikeya (Shadanana),Who vanquished Taraka in an instant.
Verse 12
You annihilated the demon Jalandhar.Your glory is known throughout the universe.
Verse 13
You waged war against Tripuraasura.And mercifully saved everyone.
Verse 14
Bhagirath performed severe penance.To fulfill his ancestors' vow.
Verse 15
Among donors, there is none equal to you.Your devotees always sing your praises.
Verse 16
The Vedas sing the glory of your name.Your indescribable and ancient mystery remains unfathomed.
Verse 17
When poison emerged from the churning of the ocean,Gods and demons were distressed and burned.
Verse 18
You showed mercy and offered help there.Thus, you were named Neelkanth (blue-throated).
Verse 19
When Lord Ramachandra worshipped you,He conquered Lanka and bestowed it upon Vibhishan.
Verse 20
When offering a thousand lotus petals,Shiva then tested his devotion.
Verse 21
When the Lord hid one lotus,Lord Rama, whose eyes are like lotus petals, desired to offer it (his eye).
Verse 22
Seeing such intense devotion, Lord ShankarWas pleased and granted the desired boon.
Verse 23
Victory, victory, victory to the infinite, the imperishable!You bestow grace on all beings residing within.
Verse 24
All evil ones constantly trouble me.I wander restlessly and find no peace.
Verse 25
I cry out, 'Save me, save me, O Lord!'At this moment, come and rescue me.
Verse 26
Take your trident and strike down my enemies.Come and deliver me from this crisis.
Verse 27
Mother, father, brothers, everyone,No one inquires about me in times of distress.
Verse 28
O Lord, you are my only hope.Come now and remove this great trouble.
Verse 29
You always grant wealth to the poor.Whoever asks, receives it from you.
Verse 30
You always grant the fruit of devotion.Knowing this, devotees always find happiness.
Verse 31
When Brahma, with joined hands, offered praise,Then Shivshankar granted him boons.
Verse 32
Whoever listens to or sings this narrative,That person's mother attains Shivlok (the abode of Shiva).
Verse 33
Yogis, ascetics, and sages meditate on you.Narada and Sharada (Saraswati) bow their heads to you.
Verse 34
Salutations, salutations, victory to Shiva!Even Brahma and other gods cannot fathom your limits.
Verse 35
Whoever recites this with full devotion,Upon them, grace is showered instantly.
Verse 36
Whoever wears Rudraksha and performs worship,Upon them, Lord Shiva bestows his grace.
Verse 37
Whoever meditates with devotion,Sorrow and poverty will not come near them.
Verse 38
Whoever recites this with love,Will enjoy all happiness and attain the supreme abode.
Verse 39
Those without children receive progeny.The poor attain wealth.
Verse 40
Whoever sings this Chalisa in their home,Will enjoy Shiva's bliss and attain the highest state.
Verse 41
॥ Couplet ॥Whoever regularly rises and recites this Chalisa with love,Jagadish (Lord Shiva) will fulfill all their heartfelt desires.
