What is the spiritual and mythological secret behind it? That's the information we are going to learn today through this video.

And from Devshayani Ekadashi, which is Ashadhi Ekadashi, our Chaturmas begins. We sleep for rest, so our body can get rest. Similarly, in our Hindu religion, there is a day when Lord Vishnu goes into Yogic sleep (Yoganidra), and that day is Devshayani Ekadashi, which is our Ashadhi Ekadashi.

But what exactly does it mean for gods to sleep, and for four months? And look at its spiritual and mythological secret. So, Devshayani Ekadashi is the Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of Ashadha month. We also call it Ashadhi Ekadashi and Pandharpur Wari. And on this very day, Lord Vishnu goes into Yogic sleep on the bed of Shesh Naga in Ksheer Sagara (the ocean of milk), and this state is called Devshayani.

Our spirituality grows, and it also has a scientific basis. Because these four months are of the monsoon season, a person's immunity decreases. Therefore, if we maintain a sattvic (pure) lifestyle, our mind and body remain in balance.

And friends, when this four-month period, Chaturmas, ends, the day that follows is Tulsi Vivah, which is Kartik Ekadashi. On this day of Tulsi Vivah, once the deities awaken, we can then perform all auspicious ceremonies.

That is why even today we see that once Tulsi Vivah is done, wedding ceremonies begin. So friends, these four months are extremely important. During this four-month period, one should engage in devotion to the Lord and give up all ego; no ego should remain.

And one should observe the fast of Ashadi Ekadashi. As many Ekadashis as come in these four months, one should fast on all of them. This is the easiest way to reach the Lord. This path has been shown to us by the saints.
