Verse 0
I meditate on the foremost of monkeys, Maruti, who is like a wish-fulfilling tree, who has five faces, is indestructible, possesses many wonderful powers, whose beautiful arms hold conch and discus, who wears yellow garments, and whose body shines with a crown and earrings.
Verse 1
May the monkey face of the east protect my mind, which is charming. In the southeast (Agneya), may the Garuda face destroy the fear of fire.
Verse 2
In the south, may the Narasimha face destroy all great dangers. In the southwest (Niruthi), may the Hayagriva face destroy the fear of all worldly attachments.
Verse 3
In the west, may the Varaha face destroy the fear of ghosts, spirits, and other evil beings. In the northwest (Vayavya), may the Sugriva face destroy mental and physical illnesses.

In the north, may the Hanuman face destroy all faults and fears. In the northeast (Ishanya), may the Hamsa face destroy speech impediments and fears.
