इदं हि शिव कवचं | भक्तानां परिरक्षणं | आयुष्करं पुण्यकरं | धन्यं जयवर्धनं ||

य इदं पठते नित्यं | श्रुणोति भक्तितः सदा | स जीवन्मुक्तो योगी स्यात् | सर्वसौख्यमवाप्नुयात् ||

ब्रह्मचर्यं समाश्रित्य | श्रद्धाभक्तिसमन्वितः | धारयेद्यस्तु कवचं | स देवो नत्र संशयः ||

इत्येतदुक्तं परमं | शिवकवचं शुभं | यः पठेच्छृणुयाद्वापि | सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते ||

पुत्रपौत्रधनैश्वर्यं | लभते नात्र संशयः | अंतकाले शिवं गच्छेत् | शिवलोकं स गच्छति ||

Verse 2
Of this sacred Shiva Kavach Stotra Mantra, Brahma is the Rishi (sage); the meter is Anushtup; the deity is Shri Sadashiva Rudra; Hari is the Bija (seed mantra); Kleem is the Shakti (power); Shreem is the Keelaka (pivot). This recitation of Shiva Kavach Stotra is performed for the fulfillment of all my desires.
Verse 3
Om, Salutations to the Illustrious Lord, adorned with blazing garlands of fire! Om Hram Hreem Hroum, bind and restrain the evil planets of Raurava, Hum Phat Swaha!
Verse 4
Salutations to Shiva, the peaceful one, the remover of all primordial diseases and afflictions. O destroyer of great death and disease, protect me who has sought refuge in you.
Verse 5
May Shankara protect my head, and Kapalabhrit (the bearer of skulls) protect my forehead. May Rudra eternally protect my two eyes and the space between my eyebrows.
Verse 6
May Bhutesha (Lord of beings) protect my ears, and Girijapati (Lord of Parvati) protect my nose. May Vishvesha (Lord of the universe) protect my mouth, and Neelalohita (blue-throated one) protect my throat.
Verse 7
May Sharva protect my heart, and Bheeshmaada (the formidable one) protect my abdomen. May Shambhu protect my navel, and Chandrashekhara (one with moon on head) protect my private parts.
Verse 8
May Vishvesha protect my thighs, and Maheshvara protect my knees. May Bhutesha protect my shins, and Shambhu protect my feet.
Verse 9
May Shiva, the Lord of all beings, always protect all my limbs. Day by day, in every direction, may Lord Maheshvara protect me.
Verse 10
May Vishvesha protect me in the East, and Rudrarat (King of Rudras) protect me in the Southeast (Agni corner). May Shankara protect me in the South, and Nandishvara protect me in the Southwest (Nairutya corner).
Verse 11
May Girisha (Lord of mountains) protect me in the West, and Makaradhvaja (one whose banner has a crocodile, i.e., Shiva) protect me in the Northwest (Vayu corner). May Shrikantaha (one with beautiful throat) protect me in the North, and Pinakirat (King with Pinaka bow) protect me in the Northeast (Ishana corner).
Verse 12
May Tryambaka (three-eyed one) protect me above, and Sadashiva protect me below. May Maheshvara protect me internally, and Digambara (sky-clad) protect me externally.
Verse 13
Indeed, this Shiva Kavach is the protector of devotees. It bestows longevity, merits, prosperity, and victory.
Verse 14
One who reads this daily, or always listens with devotion, becomes a liberated Yogi in life and attains all happiness.
Verse 15
He who observes celibacy, filled with faith and devotion, and wears (or recites) this Kavach, he is undoubtedly a divine being.
Verse 16
Thus, this supreme and auspicious Shiva Kavach has been narrated. Whoever reads or even listens to it, is freed from all sins.
Verse 17
He undoubtedly obtains sons, grandsons, wealth, and prosperity. At the time of death, he attains Shiva, he goes to Shivaloka (the abode of Shiva).
