Verse 1
I offer one Bilva leaf to Lord Shiva. It has three leaves, represents the three Gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) or the Trimurti, three eyes, and three weapons (Trishula). It destroys the sins of three births.

With three-branched, flawless, tender, and auspicious Bilva leaves, I perform Shiva Puja. I offer one Bilva leaf to Lord Shiva.
Verse 3
By worshipping Shiva Shankara with an unbroken Bilva leaf, one attains the great merit of gifting a crore maidens. I offer one Bilva leaf to Lord Shiva.
