Hail, Lord of Girija (Parvati), the merciful to the meek, who always protects His devotees.
Verse 3
The moon adorns His forehead beautifully, and in His ears are coiled serpent earrings.

Victory, victory, victory to the Lord of Kailash, Victory, victory, victory to the humble one.
Verse 6
All gods and goddesses bow to You, You are the Supreme Lord incarnate.
Verse 7
You wear a tiger skin that adorns Your body; Your beautiful form cannot be described by me.
Verse 8
A crown of matted locks shines on Your head, and a trident in Your hand is captivating.
Verse 9
A venomous serpent adorns Your neck beautifully, and snakes are Your sacred thread.
Verse 10
Ashes on Your body, a garland of Rudraksha beads, You shine with Gauri's son (Ganesha) and Your ganas.
Verse 11
With drum (damaru), water pot (kamandal), spear (shool), trident (trishula), and You are brave even with death and skulls.
Verse 12
Riding the bull (Nandi), You reign on Kailash, accompanied by conch, mace, and Garuda.
Verse 13
Gods, demons, men, and women worship You, and the young Ganga is worshipped on Your head.
Verse 14
Ghosts and spirits reside with You, Bholenath, roaring with great might.
Verse 15
When the staff of Yama brings about cosmic dissolution, then fear increases in the world.

At that time, Shiva blows His conch, and saints take refuge by chanting 'Shiv Shiv'.

Vishnu and Brahma chant Your name, and gods and goddesses grant blissful abodes.

Narada, Sharada, and Shiva's sages bow to You, You bring joy to Your devotees.
Verse 19
Daily devotees come for Your darshan (sight), and day by day sing Your glories.

By performing worship, one attains happiness and prosperity, chanting 'Shiv Shiv' helps one cross the ocean of existence.
Verse 21
Those who earn the devotion of Shiva, they daily go to Shiva's abode.
Verse 22
You remove the essence of worldly illusion, Lord, and protect devotees every moment.
Verse 23
Mahadeva, Hara, Shiva, Shankara, You are the fearsome one of the three worlds.
Verse 24
When ghosts and spirits bring obstacles, by taking Shiva's name, they flee instantly.
Verse 25
When diseases cause great suffering in homes, chanting Shiva's name brings all happiness.
Verse 26
When one earns but remains childless, by worshipping Shiva, one again finds happiness (of progeny).

When poverty afflicts the penniless, by chanting Shiva, one obtains wealth and prosperity.
Verse 28
Lust, anger, arrogance, and greed are destroyed; in Shiva's refuge, one finds light.

He makes the poor wealthy, and even Brahmins attain happiness through Him.

He always remembers the name of His devotees, Shiva always protects His devotees.

One who comes to His refuge receives all happiness, by chanting Shiva, one crosses the ocean of existence.

Shiva grants sight to the blind, and a pure body to those suffering from leprosy.

A barren woman receives a good son, if anyone sings Shiva's glories.

Those who meditate on Shiva with devotion, attain knowledge, righteousness, and good fame.

One who utters Shiva's name from their mouth, will not suffer distress for a long time.

Who can describe Shiva's glory? No one knows the beginning or end of Shiva's essence.

When one meditates with love, Shiva helps one cross the ocean of worldly existence.

The sick who invoke 'Rudra Nath' (Lord Rudra), attain liberation from the bonds of rebirth.

One who daily rises and goes to a Shiva temple, gladdens their heart by seeing Shiva.

Chanting the Shiva Chalisa with devotion bestows numerous benefits. It invokes the blessings of Lord Shiva for spiritual growth, inner peace, and protection from negative influences.
