प्रथमं वक्रतुण्डं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम्। तृतीयं कृष्णपिङ्गाक्षं गजवक्त्रं चतुर्थकम्॥

लम्बोदरं पञ्चमं च षष्ठं विकटमेव च। सप्तमं विघ्नराजं च धूम्रवर्णं तथाष्टमम्॥

नवमं भालचन्द्रं च दशमं तु विनायकम्। एकादशं गणपतिं द्वादशं तु गजाननम्॥

द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसंध्यं यः पठेन्नरः। न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिकरं परम्॥

विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम्। पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान्मोक्षार्थी लभते गतिम्॥

जपेद्गणपतिस्तोत्रं षड्भिर्मासैः फलम् लभेत्। संवत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशयः॥

अष्टभ्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च लिखित्वा यः समर्पयेत्। तस्य विद्या भवेत्सर्वा गणेशस्य प्रसादतः॥

Meaning & Translation

Verse 1

Bowing down my head to the Lord Ganesha, the son of Gauri, the dweller in the hearts of devotees, I remember Him daily for the fulfillment of life, desires, and wealth.

Verse 2

First (His name is) Vakratunda (one with a twisted trunk), second Ekadanta (one with a single tusk), third Krishna Pingaksha (one with dark and reddish-brown eyes), and fourth Gajavaktra (one with an elephant face).

Verse 3

Fifth (He is) Lambodara (one with a big belly), and sixth Vikata (the formidable one). Seventh (He is) Vighnaraja (the king of obstacles), and eighth Dhūmravarṇa (one with a smoke-colored body).

Verse 4

Ninth (He is) Balachandra (one with the moon on His forehead), and tenth Vinayaka (the supreme leader). Eleventh (He is) Ganapati (the lord of Ganas), and twelfth Gajānana (one with an elephant face).

That person who recites these twelve names at dawn, noon, and dusk, for him there is no fear of obstacles, and all accomplishments are attained.

The seeker of knowledge obtains knowledge, the seeker of wealth obtains wealth. The seeker of progeny obtains children, and the seeker of liberation obtains salvation.

One who chants this Ganesha Stotram obtains the fruit within six months. Within a year, he attains perfection (siddhi); there is no doubt about it.
